If you’ve ever owned an iPad, you know how dirty they can get. Finger smudges all over the screen, around the power and volume button collects grime. With kids it’ll be dirty like you’ve never seen before. Luckily, there are products that will help keep it as clean as humanly possible. Here are a few of my personal recommendations. I have not added any links for the screen protector’s or cases since there are so many different iPad options. Screen protector’s and the cases will change depending on your iPad.

Screen Protector

Screen protectors are a must. Toddlers do not have the fine motor skills yet so the iPad will be dropped at some point. I would suggest anything that is tempered glass and also comes with an easy application tray and multiple screen protectors. A great idea would be to keep extra at home just in case.

Pro tip – If the screen protector becomes cracked, replace it right away. Once the screen protector is cracked it cannot protect the screen as well and the next accident will likely crack the screen which is way more costly to fix.

Shockproof Case

Once you have the screen protector, you’ll need a case. I bought the ProCase Kids Case from Amazon which is shockproof and lightweight. This thing is absolutely amazing. You can easily clean it off with a wet rag. It can withstand a teething toddler and can easily be carried from room to room without worrying about dropping.

Parent tip – remove the case every so often and do a deep clean of the case with a wet rag dipped in some soapy water.

Cuddle Ready iPad Stand

While the ProCase’s handle does convert it into a stand, I would still recommend a Cuddle ready iPad stand. These are perfect if you need to set your iPad up in bed or on the couch. They are super sturdy and can even hold the iPad with the case so no need to remove anything. Here is a link to Amazon of what I use and it holds the iPad without the case really well. Parent tip – The cuddly iPad stand can also be used as a book stand for your kid. If they are helping cook dinner in the kitchen and have a cookbook, use the stand and it’ll help keep the book open so your kiddo isn’t touching the book with potentially dirty hands. I will also say that this iPad stand does not work well with Shockproof case since the case is a bit bulky.

Electronic Disinfectant Wipes

Kids are disgusting, it’s just a fact of life. When you give them a phone or tablet, it always comes back sticky or has snot all over it. That is why I recommend electronic disinfectant wipes. You’ll use these on a daily basis, especially once you see the screen with snot all over it. Here is a link of what I use and they work really well. Weiman Disinfectant Wipes

Parent tip – every couple of weeks, make sure that you pull the case off of the iPad and clean around the whole iPad. You will not believe how messy it gets.
